Del Akech Del was born in South Sudan in 1980 and raised by a single mother. He was a little boy when he left his home country and walked from South Sudan to Ethiopia where he lived in the refugee camps and endured great suffering and life challenges. Through God’s power and protection, he made it to United States in 2001. He then returned to Africa to marry his high school sweetheart, Sarah Adau Mun. They married in 2004 and have five children, three boys and two girls.
He attended Harrisburg Area Community College and graduated in 2008 with an associate
degree in business administration. Then, he attended the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg and graduated with a Master of Divinity in 2005. He is currently serving the Harrisburg Sudanese worshiping Community called by the Synod Council in 2012 when he was ordained, and has been with Harrisburg Sudanese worship Community for 14 years.
